About Treena

Photography, the art of seeing and capturing the truth in a moment, rests in my earliest thoughts. Snapshot by snapshot I started seeing the world with a beauty I could turn back to again and again. As an adult I started off doing stock photography for corporations until my two beautiful boys started playing sports.
This led to me gleefully shooting their games. I shot for baseball & football town teams, local and regional newspapers, 10 & 12 year old Cal Ripken World Series. Crisscrossing the nation, in countless tournaments, and hundreds of hours - bliss behind the lens.

I adore natural settings and lighting - so I did outdoor non traditional family shoots highlighting life’s little moments. Opportunities kept coming morphed into years spent in architectural, still life, abstract, commercial, corporate, family, sports, landscaping and nature centered photography.

Where it began...
Take an 8 year old girl in love with nature, her sister’s camera, combine with super boring trip to a boring great aunt’s home and what do you get? An eight year old escape plan to do something fun OUTSIDE! What could be more fun than chasing a squirrel around from tree to tree and house to house taking his picture?
Apparently nothing, because since that day I’ve been hooked on photography. And yes, that little squirrel on top of the roof is MY first photographic subject! Little stinker captured my heart although my mom wasn’t so enamored by entire roll of squirrel pictures..
